Poem I wrote in second period today...Justified inspiration, if you ask me.

The Hindered Heart in the Hollow

Within this hollow,
the Hindered Heart doth lie,
crying,
sobbing,
crushed to pieces for the dozenth time.

The weeping willows offer little well deserved comfort,
for they only mumble and murmur in their eternal slumber.
The Sun dares not grace this horrible hollow,
while it still lies,
beneath the maniacal moon's watchful eyes.

The vines that hang off the willows kiss the Hindered Heart's limbs,
making the King's job of rebuilding Humpty Dumpty, who fell off a wall,
simple enough that to challenge the chore would require extreme gall.
They try, try, try over and over,
to no avail does the Hindered Heart get a good once over.

Then it speaks,
"He toys with my heart,
how long 'till we are apart?
The wind will soon blow,
through this vacant hollow,
which currently serves as my soul.
My heart has now whithered to this icy block of coal,
but hopefully this feeling will soon depart,
and I'll feel better on the 'morrow."

The weeping willows weep once more,
for the Hindered Heart cannot heal its deep sore.

Within this hollow,
the Hindered Heart doth lie,
weeping beneath the cruel world's eye.

Here's some of my 'so called' poetry.

This one is from when Alex and I broke up my sophmore year.

I watch && softly sigh, as the tears I cry, mix with the rain that falls from the moonlit sky.

Tonight's the night I hope I die, or at least stop living in your lie.

Please Set my heart loose, let it fly, until the tears stop falling that I cry
.

Here's one that was the result of Eric and I breaking up back in like 2006:

Is my true love out there somewhere?

Is there such thing as love?

Is it all just crap?

Is it over if there was?

Did I blow it?

Am I done?

Were you not my only one?

And another one in result of Eric.

So here I sit. Bored and alone. I think of you as I dial the phone. 1-314-you-stole-my-heart...I almost think we should go back to the start. Hello, what is your name? I don't mean to sound lame, but it seems almost that love is just a game. Back and forth, I love you I'm unsure, I'm mad at you, I'm pissed, of this I'm almost sure. Is this just some poem I wrote out of boredom or is it coming from my heart? For that you'll have to reread it from the start.

And another...

Letters and emails left and right. I thought we'd always be tight. All the nights spent staying up late on the phone, I never felt alone. Always and forever we always swore, no matter what baby, but then one day that didn't exist anymore. I gave you my heart sealed with a kiss, you tore it apart, so now I have no heart. I sit and mope, thinking of you and what on earth I should do. For what was left of my heart didn't need mending or glue, what it needed was you! So stop with the excuses left and right, just be my baby again and we'll both be alright.

And yet another...

I miss my love. I miss him so. I just can't let him go. It pains me so much that he has to live so far away. I always wonder, even to this day, if I'd been there, would things be okay? I miss him now, I miss him then, I miss him when I'm fast asleep in bed. Why does life get so messed up, why do things go wrong, could the answers to my questions be found in song? Lyrics, so beautiful and true, but they turn around and bite you in the ass, they make you feel blue. Our song our song, what a lovely song it is. I dream of dancing with you to it. Holding you, feeling you, skin against skin. But that can't happen anymore, not now, no it can't. Because she stole your heart, but I wish I could get mine back. You keep it tucked away, as if your saving it for a better day. I just don't know what to say. All I know, all I feel, is I love you. I know I do, I love you, I can feel it, in my body, my heart, my entire soul! Please realize whats happening and don't let it all go! What we had was special, oh so special and true. Please come back baby. I miss you.

And another, go figure..

Why do I bother with my life? Why? Its pointless. I know its not right to feel bad for yourself. But I don't know what to do. I should just die. Drop off of the face of this earth. There isn't a point to living anymore. Maybe there never was. So much for this summer. So much for feeling your touch. I thought you loved me. But it was a bunch of junk. You said you did, you swore you did, you promised, what a bunch of bull shit. Maybe when I go to sleep in my bed tonight, I won't awake, and won't have to deal with the hell of life and living that it brings. Forget me. I might as well have never existed. Because you were the one who made me exist and feel alive. Now all I feel is dead and worthless inside. Your sister thinks badly of me now, when if anyone she should think badly of you. I didn't do anything to hurt you, but that's all I got back from you. Hurting, breaking my heart left and right, fuck it, its time to say goodnight.

*Shrugs* If you want to. I don't really care. They were written to get emotions out, not to be pretty.
